We recently announced the launch of a new range of mobile phones designed in the UAE specifically for the African and Middle East markets. The new mobile brand, FERO offers 16 models, from entry-level feature phones through to sophisticated premium smartphones targeting the top end of the market.

A total of 1300+ companies participated in the event bringing together the most influential figureheads in global finance and the CEO’s of the continent’s biggest companies. He stressed on the value proposition that brands offers originating from Africa and how the brands have changed their marketing objective with respect to the aspiration values of customers in East and West Africa.
The two day event saw participants exchange their views and opinions on the issues affecting the economic development of African companies.
The African telecom giant Tigo partnered with Mstore, the multi-brand retail enterprise of MiDCOM Group to launch 26 retail stores in Ghana. Continuing its successful association with Tigo in Tanzania, MStore strengthened its partnership to provide customers with the best mobile phone shopping experience. The partnership and the Samsung S7 launch event was held at the Tigo Head office in Accra, Ghana.

Midnight Madness sponsored by MiDCOM returned to Dubai Golf course after almost a decade, with 108 golfers contesting over the Faldo course of the Emirates Golf Club. A remarkable 27 teams teed off at Midnight on Thursday 11th Feb each playing 27 holes with the final putt sunk by competitors at 8 am on Friday morning. Rahul Yadav, Achal Ghai, Gurinderjit Singh and Ghanshyam Mannghnani clinched the inaugural championship with scores of 90 points, 23 and 23 for a 136 tally.
A superb effort from the Emirates Golf Club members as all the players had an enjoyable and memorable evening. The title sponsors MiDCOM kept the competitors refreshed on the course with food and beverage stations, followed by a buffet breakfast during the prize distribution ceremony.
In a ceremony presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Honorable Prof Tarsis Kabwegyere, Rainbow International School was awarded the Visionaries of Uganda Award. The award is a testament to the outstanding contribution done by Rainbow International School Uganda towards the socioeconomic transformation of this country. This is the third consecutive Visionaries of Uganda award won by Rainbow International which continues to show the firm’s persistent effort in shaping and uplifting Uganda’s national economy.
In an initiative to boost the cricketing talent in the region, MiDCOM in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Cricket Club sponsored the 10th edition of President’s Cup cricket tournament. The Twenty20 tournament will see a total of 95 matches being played by 38 teams divided into 9 groups. MiDCOM Group is delighted to be associated with such a prestigious tournament that aims to nurture the cricketing talent of the participants. In a bid to inspire young minds to take the entrepreneurial jump, Midcom conducted the inaugural MiDCOM Business Challenge at Jaipuria Institute of Management, India. The Business challenge was an initiative, whereby students prepared and submitted business plans, feasibility study and financial viability of their business idea. A total of 56 teams enrolled for the competition which included a cash prize of Rs. 500,000 awarded to the winner.
The Prize was awarded to the winning team by Mr. Anand Kapoor, Founder of MiDCOM Group & Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh – Shri Ram Naik, on the event of the Institute’s 20th Foundation Day functions. During the function Mr. Anand Kapoor, Founder of MiDCOM Group shared his learning over the years and chaired a discussion on Success vs Happiness.
Along with the prize money, the winners and runners up of the competition will have the opportunity of interacting directly with Top Management of MiDCOM Group and the chance for further training opportunities through the company at the company’s head office in Dubai.
