 MiDCOM Uganda has been conferred with the Superbrand East Africa status by the SuperBrand Council for its superior services and excellent distribution strength. The recognition comes in the Telecommunication, Internet and IT solutions category. The superbrand status endorsed the group’s commitment for excellence shown in different areas like telecommunication, dairy, education, real estate and commitment to the business requirements of the Uganda.

 MiDCOM Group felicitated the president and CEO of Dubai Chamber of Commerce H.E Hamad Buamim at its Head Office in Dubai. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to the UAE and GCC. The conference was held to strengthen the relations between the Gulf and the African market as it is a step forward to enhance and develop better trade relations.
The MiDCOM president’s cup concluded on 9th January 2015 with the defending champions Lions CC reaffirming their status as the numero-uno side. They cruised to a six wicket victory over ADCB in a relatively one sided contest in the final of the 2 month long T20 tournament. Mr. Amit Sagar, Finance Director of MiDCOM presented the President’s cup to winning captain Arunalu De Silva. The highlight for this final game was Lions CC spinner Pabalu Silva’s 4 wicket haul which included a hat trick.
This tournament was a testament to MiDCOM’s commitment towards the growth of sport in the Middle East region, we hope to continue our association with this prestigious tournament in the years to come. MiDCOM would also like to convey its best wishes to the UAE national cricket team for the upcoming Cricket World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand. True to tradition, MiDCOM group held its annual Diwali Scramble Golf Tournament on the 17th of October 2014 at the picturesque Emirates Golf club. Every year, this event draws avid golfers from all over the UAE and this year was no different.
This four-man team scramble tournament brings together the best golfers in the region who compete in an intense battle of nerves. The participants pulled out all the stops this year and regaled the audience with an exhilarating display of golfing skills. The winners of this year’s Diwali scramble were the team comprising of Gokul Mani, Pawan Nihalani, Ian McDonald and June McDonald. The golf tournament was followed by an evening of fun and festivities to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights. All participants of the golf tournament were presented with designer watches while a raffle draw saw an iPhone 6 being given away as a grand prize. These fun and games were followed by a cultural extravaganza where there were special Bhangra and Contemporary dance performances showcased by students of a well-known dance academy in Dubai. The evening concluded with a grand gala dinner and party that carried on till the wee hours of the night. A special thank you to all the participants and guests for their support and enthusiasm.
