LIONS CC CROWNED CHAMPIONS IN THE MIDCOM PRESIDENT’S CUP T20 FINAL

The MiDCOM president’s cup concluded on 9th January 2015 with the defending champions Lions CC reaffirming their status as the numero-uno side. They cruised to a six wicket victory over ADCB in a relatively one sided contest in the final of the 2 month long T20 tournament. Mr. Amit Sagar, Finance Director of MiDCOM presented the President’s cup to winning captain Arunalu De Silva. The highlight for this final game was Lions CC spinner Pabalu Silva’s 4 wicket haul which included a hat trick.
This tournament was a testament to MiDCOM’s commitment towards the growth of sport in the Middle East region, we hope to continue our association with this prestigious tournament in the years to come. MiDCOM would also like to convey its best wishes to the UAE national cricket team for the upcoming Cricket World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
